Magic Submitter Review Version 1.35

Magic Submitter Review Version 1.35

Jan 29, 2011

I know it’s been awhile since I have done a review of Magic Submitter. The creator, Alexander has updated is so much in the past several months that the tool doesn’t even resemble the initial release of less than one year ago.

To start with, I want to let everyone know that Magic Submitter now has a scheduler, meaning that everything from account creation to content submission can be scheduled to run in the background. While SEnuke users pay huge money for their subscription and have been waiting a year for the fabled “x” version that contains a scheduler, Magic Submitter jumps out with one without so much as a hint of its coming. Innovations such as these are what sets Magic Submitter apart from the rest of the IM software community.

So, I just downloaded version 1.35 and am giving it a run at bookmarking account creation. It’s running in the background as I type this out. There are now 141 bookmarking sites built into Magic Submitter! There are supposed to be a couple hundred more added within the next couple weeks. That is A LOT of bookmarking sites. So far it looks like I’m getting around a 70% account creation success. The unsuccessful could be for a number of reasons, one of which could be the captcha solving service I’m using. You have a choice of bypasscaptcha or death by captcha. I’m using the latter. One thing I’ve found with any software, is if you solve captchas manually you’ll receive a MUCH HIGHER success rate. But hey, what is automated software for, but being hands off? So, I consider it a numbers game and create mass accounts fully automated.

For those who haven’t kept up with Magic Submitter’s evolution I will breakdown what the program currently consists of and what services are included. The main thing to consider is Magic Submitter does a lot out of the box, BUT it’s primary feature is that you can program in ANY SITE YOU WANT!

First off, Magic Submitter is now fully automated. The initial release contained sites that required some user interaction, such as retrieving passwords from emails. The current version is a multi-threaded, fully automated beast! It will create email accounts that can be used to register at hundreds or thousands of sites. Magic Submitter will then check all the activation emails and even extract passwords automatically. Some sites, such as web 2.0 blogs, require that the user login into their account after signing up to perform certain operations. Guess what, Magic Submitter will do all this automatically! After checking the activation emails it will pop up the multithreaded browser and perform all post activation requirements! That’s pretty powerful stuff.

Currently Magic Submitter can rotate proxies and use up to 8 browser windows (multi-threading). One of the key new features is the ability to create projects. This gives you the ability to organize campaigns for various clients or niches. You can assign as many profiles and submit items to each campaign as you like. You can now copy submit items, which can come in handy when using the scheduler. Speaking of the scheduler, that is my favorite feature. You can create submit item, lets say bookmarking, and have it submit 5, 10 or any number of items you like per day, every other day, etc. You can even copy a submit item to all other profiles within the project. By doing this you can spread your campaign over a large number of profiles for increased coverage and effectiveness. If you’re into submitting heavily spun blog or article content you can set the scheduler to submit the item “n” number of times. That way you can submit your spun content to services repeatedly!

Now for a breakdown of what comes with Magic Submitter out of the box:

Article Directories – 69 of the top article directories, including Ezinearticles, goarticles, buzzle, etc.

Bookmarking – 141 sites, including the most popular.

Blogs – 35 of the top Web 2.0 blogs including WordPress, Blogger, etc.

RSS – 15 of the top RSS aggregators, including feedage, feedagg and rssmountain.

Video – 101 of the top video sites including youtube and dailymotion.

Microblogs – 6 sites including Twitter and Tribe.

Press Release – 18 top press release sites.

WordPress Article Directories – 72 count. These sites allow anchor text links in the article body.

ExpressonEngine – 582 forums. Magic Submitter can do the double pass method, so you can create profiles, then add links a week later. Really increases stickiness.

StatusNet MicroBlogs – 74 services such as identica, etc.

PDF and File Sharing Sites – 8 inlcuding docstoc and scribd.

Some of these service (not just the site) are new since I used Magic Submitter just two weeks ago.

We’ll my account creation at bookmarking sites is done (including automatic email verification.) It looks like I was able to create account at 107 of the 141 built in sites, that’s around 76% success. Not the best, but hey it was fully automated. Now it’s time to post this article and let the bookmarking begin!

Magic Submitter Review of Submitting Content

Magic Submitter Review of Submitting Content

Jun 10, 2010

Hopefully, you read my last Magic Submitter review of Account Creation. Now, the long anticipated review of content submission. After all, what is an automated submitter without content submission?

As with my review of account creation, I will list site specific issues at the end of the post. One thing I would like to note is this review test run was performed over one week ago. Magic Submitter is constantly updated, so these any stated problems may have already been resolved.

This review was done with Magic Submitter 1.9, using 3 browser windows and the CAPTCHA solving service, decaptcher.com. I utilized the Auto Retry feature, which allows Magic Submitter to retry submission 3 times if errors occur. If it is unable to complete the task within three attempts it skips the site and lists the status as aborted. I used Magic Article Rewriter (MAR) to spin content wherever possible. I used a spun article for both article directory and blog submissions. The article was spun to nearly 200% uniqueness and generated spun articles ranging in word count from 630 words to 750 words.

Article submission did not go as well as expected. There were several accounts that were listed as not activated. I checked the email account for the activation links. Some article directories never sent the confirmation emails (not Magic Submitter's fault.) But there were other activation emails that appeared to have been clicked on. I tried clicking the activation links and was told by the article directories that the account had expired. All in all I was able to submit an article to 17 out of 24 article directories that I had an account.

Bookmarking submission was quick and overall, very successful. I was observing the submission windows, and most errors occurred due to inaccurate CAPTCHA solving. I have performed several bookmarking runs with different accounts. If you want the highest success rate I suggest using one browser window and manually solving CAPTCHA's. If you are using decaptcher, it helps to only use one browser window. You might want to log into your decaptcher account and check their service load. If it lists 50% or above I would choose to manually solve the CAPTCHA's.

Now to the meat and potatoes - Blog Submission. In my opinion blogs are the real power house of a tool like Magic Submitter. You can maintain several blogs with links pointing to other web properties, and with social bookmarking you can give these blogs authority over time. Blog submissions were hit and miss. I ran two submission through different accounts to see how things panned out. I was able to successfully submit my spun article to a little less than 80% of the blogs that had accounts. See the end of the post for the details. One thing I would like to note is that within 5 minutes of submitting the content I could find at least two of the blogs listed in Google search results!

RSS submission was quick with a few errors. Since there are only 14 sites I decided to manually solve CAPTCHA's and use one browser window. Most sites accepted the feed no problem, while there were errors with 3 of the sites. I was able to manually make corrections for the site's with errors. Most of the errors occurred because the sites had implemented some form of CAPTCHA, which was not programmed into this version of Magic Submitter.

Video submission did not go well. I was submitting a 27MB flash video. I used the recommended 1 browser window to minimize errors. On approximately half of the sites Magic Submitter would open a Windows Explorer window of the directory where the video was stored on my computer. The program would sit with the window open until it timed out, which by default is one hour. I changed the video timeout to 40 seconds, which helped Magic Submitter move along at a quicker pace, but did not increase the success rate of submission. I spoke with Alexandr about this issue. He said it would be fixed in the next update, which due out in a couple days.

I hate to end this review on a low note (Video), but I want to be honest with my readers. As promised, I have listed site specific issues below. Thanks for reading along and if you would like to purchase Magic Submitter Click Here.

SITE SPECIFIC ISSUES

Article Directories:

  • Buzzle - Observing the submission window showed that Magic Submitter did not submit the article even though Magic Submitter listed it as "submitted".  I logged into the account to confirm that the article was not submitted.
  • Article Dashboard - Said I hadn't confirmed my account.  When I clicked the confirmation link in the email it stated "account expired."
  • Self Growth - User must select a sub-category.
  • Bukisa - User has to manually choose category and sub-category.
  • Searchwarp - Site stated "author account closed."
  • ArticleRich - My account wasn't activated.  I manually clicked on the activation link in the email and then I was able to submit the article.
  • U-Publish - Magic Submitter submitted the article just fine, but then tried to submit another article.  I stopped the program and manually logged into U-Publish to delete the second article.  Please note, since I was using spun content the two article did appear different.
  • Articlebase - My account wasn't active.  I clicked to resend email.  I clicked the activation link and was able to submit my article.
  • Articlecat - You have to use the BB code for urls such as [URL][/URL]

Blogs:

  • Hubpages - User has to manually insert tags one per line.  Magic Submitter stops the submission process and tells the user that this step is required.
  • Jimdo - Listed my site as missing.
  • On Sugar - Site said I had to create blog first.  I manually created the blog and was able to submit content.  As a side note, I think the most important thing is to be able automatically submit spun content to the blogs on a regular basis, so once your account is set up you are good to go.
  • Terapad - Magic Submitter listed "Can't locate username text field."
  • Mulitply - Make sure you use short, 20 character or less tags.
  • SOSblog - Site said my blog didn't exist.
  • Zoomshare - Magic Submitter stated "can't locate go button." Indeed, I did not see a go button.
  • Thoughts.com - Magic Submitter state "Success text posted not found."  Even though the program state this error, it did submit the content successfully.

RSS:

  • FriendFeed - Magic Submitter listed the error "can't locate import as service link."
  • Plazoo - The program lists the error "can't locate submit RSS link." The link is there, and all the information is filled in, but there is a CAPTCHA.  If you manually solve the CAPTCHA and hit "submit" it works.
  • Bloglines - Requires a CAPTCHA.

I know this may seem like a lot of errors, but I wanted to be brutally honest in this review.  I would like to point out that Magic Submitter has been updated several times within the first 10 days since it's release and the next update should be HUGE!

All in all I am happy with the success rate of Magic Submitter.  Since, you can automatically create unlimited accounts you can cover your bases in shotgun fashion.  I will be posting another Magic Submitter review once the new version is released, so stay tuned and sign up for updates!

Magic Submitter Review of Account Creation

Magic Submitter Bookmarking Screen

As you all know, I was a beta tester, so I purchased Magic Submitter after the release, and the current version is 1.8 (now 1.9). I ran through the account creation process and thought I would give a review. The interface is simple and straight forward. Everything is easy to access and there is a nice graphical user interface. There are several tabs and a drop down box of services.

Magic Submitter can create accounts at: article directories, bookmarking services, rss aggregators, blogs and video sites. It can also create email accounts at gmail and yahoo.co.uk. One of the nicest features of this program is that it has a designer mode that can be used to add any site’s sign up and submission procedures. This magic submitter review is focused on the initial account creation with the built in services.

I would like to point out that I did not create a free email account. I used a brand new email account created on one of my domains. Some Web 2.0 services do not let you sign up with a free email account, so I opted to use my own email account to give Magic Submitter the benefit of the doubt.

The first step is to create an account profile, which includes the typical name, email, user name, password, address, site name and url. You can also include your email server and password for email verification.

Most of the websites that Magic Submitter submits to require CAPTCHA verification to avoid spambots. You can either enter the CAPTCHA’s manually or use the 3rd party service decaptcher.com. I opted to use decaptcher.

There is an option to use 1 to 3 browser windows. I opted to use 3 browser windows since I have a fast computer and a broadband internet connection.

I signed up with all services. The whole process took approximately 3 hours. The “slowness” of the process was mainly due to a delay in CAPTCHA solving by decaptcher.com. You can either minimize the program as it performs the account creations, or watch what is happening in a browser window. When watching what was happening I could see that the CAPTCHA solving was very slow and sometimes decaptcher got it wrong. This would cause Magic Submitter to get lost. Clicking the “retry” button usually fixed the issue and allowed the account creation to proceed. There were times that Magic Submitter couldn’t find a reference text field. If this occurred I would manually input the required data and click a “complete” button, which tells Magic Submitter that the account creation is complete. Magic Submitter will then use your profile data to login to that account. See the end of the review for site specific issues.

Magic Submitter stating that the Blogetery password must be retrieved from the email.

When creating article and blog accounts it should be noted that the account creation procedures can be complex. Magic Submitter provides instructions at the top of the browser window informing the user of what needs to be done before continuing. An example of a common user required action is the website will send a unique password to the email account. The user must manually check the email account and retrieve the password and enter it manually into Magic Submitter for that account. Other user required actions may be that the user has to manually login to the account and perform additional account setup. These sites are minimal and well worth a little extra effort to have a more sites to choose from.

I was able to successfully sign up at approximately 98% of all sites in the 5 categories. I performed the user required actions on around 12 sites total. After all the registration is completed you must click “check emails”. Magic Submitter will then download all the emails and click all the verification links. In total, I successfully signed up for over 110 services. It must be noted the article directories are the top tier. Out of all the accounts over 30 were blogs, which is very powerful indeed.

In conclusion I must say - not too bad for a just released website promotion software. The next step is to try submitting content to all the accounts I just created. Stay tuned for more Magic Submitter Reviews.

As promised – site specific issues:

Article Directories:

  • Buzzle - User is required to manually fill in Author Information.
  • Article Alley - CAPTCHA was not showing.  I confirmed that the image really wasn't showing by using a browser.
  • Idea Marketers - Magic Submitter didn't choose the state or insert zip code.  This has since been resolved.
  • A1-Articles - CAPTCHA didn't show.  I confirmed that it was a site problem and not a problem with Magic Submitter.
  • Go Articles - Program didn't input city, state, country or password.

Bookmarking Services:

  • Bibsonomy - Magic Submitter didn't input homepage URL.  This is in the profile, but Bibsonomy doesn't require it for account creation.
  • Blinklist - Program couldn't find gender check box.  There was no gender checkbox.  This has since been corrected.
  • Sitesays - This site has been down for the past week!

Blogs:

  • Blogger - Magic Submitter doesn't put in the birthday.  If you do this manually it is successful.
  • Multiply - You have to enter CAPTCHA manually even if you are using decaptcher.com.
  • Jimdo - They send you a unique password in an email that you must retrieve and put into Magic Submitter.
  • On Sugar - The program says to "enter math question", but it is actually a CAPTCHA.
  • Blogetery - They send an email that must be clicked on, then they send another email with a unique password.
  • Nexo - Site will be discontinued.
  • Zoomshare - Magic Submitter says to manually open confirmation email and finish site selection.
  • Diaryland - They email you a unique password.

RSS:

  • IceRocket - Magic Submitter couldn't locate "mshtml.HTMLInputElement Class Form"

Video:

  • Google - Requires cellphone number to complete registration.
  • Bolt - User must answer a question such as, "what is the opposite of up?" in addition to entering a CAPTCHA.
  • Daily Motion - User must manually enter CAPTCHA text.
  • Zoopy - User must enter a math question.
  • Vidivodo - Magic Submitter couldn't locate reg. link.
  • Photobucket - The program got stuck on filling the form.

That's pretty much it.  I will be submitting a review on submitting spun content within the next couple days.  Keep checking back because I will be including some video tutorials!

Magic Submitter Review

This Magic Submitter review is based on the most current beta version, 1.4. There will be new features added to the public release, which comes out on May 25th at 6:00 p.m. EST.

Let me give you a brief explanation of what Magic Submitter is and what is does. Magic Submitter is a website promotion software that automates submitting various forms of digital content to website and web directories on the internet. It can perform all these submissions automatically and can automatically create accounts on all of these sites as well.

Currently Magic Submitter is in beta testing and I am one of the privileged few to participate in the testing of this promising software.

The current version of Magic Submitter has the built in ability to submit content to the following category of web properties: Article Directories, Blogs, Social Bookmarking Services, RSS aggregators, Video Sites and Micro Blogs. In addition to the ability to automatically create accounts at these sites and submit content, Magic Submitter can also create email accounts at Google and Yahoo. These email accounts can be used to create accounts at all the other Web 2.0 sites.

With Magic Submitter there is no need to check emails (with a few exceptions), or enter CAPTCHA codes. Magic Submitter has a built in email confirmation program and can be used with the third party CAPTCHA solving service, decaptcher.com. Decaptcher.com is a separate service and additional charges apply. Magic Submitter doesn’t require you to use decaptcher.com. You can enter the CAPTCHA codes separately if you choose.

One of the many wonderful things about Magic Submitter is the ability to submit spun content.  You can use Magic Article Rewriter to spin your articles and website URL's, and then have Magic Submitter submit unique content all across the internet.

The user interface is very appealing and straightforward. The top toolbar is very similar to Magic Article Rewriter and Magic Article Submitter, which makes sense due to the fact that all three of these programs were made by Alexander Krulik. There’s a drop down menu to choose between Article Directories, Bookmarking Services, Blogs, Mail Services, RSS, Video and Micro blogs. There are currently two email services, Google and Yahoo. All other services have around 30 of the top sites for their categories.

The fist step in the Magic Submitter process is to create a user profile. You can enter your details manually, or you can have Magic Submitter fill all the information automatically, including email (note: if you choose this option you must create the email next.) The only data that will not be auto-filled is website URL and site name. Site name is what will be used in the URL when creating blogs.

The next step in the Magic Submitter Process is to create the email account. If you chose to have the program auto-fill your profile and chose Yahoo for email, you will choose Yahoo in the email account creation. Magic Submitter will then proceed to create the email account that it listed in the Profile section.

Once you have your profile and email account completed it’s a matter of choosing the services you want from the drop-down menu, selecting all the sites, and clicking “Create Accounts” If you are using decaptcher.com you don’t even need to enter CAPTCHA codes. You can choose to have Magic Submitter use one to three browser windows. With three windows the program is fast and smooth. As of beta 1.4 the account creation goes well with few problems. When creating blogs you do need to watch the program, because there are prompts for entering site specific (and generated) passwords.

Once Magic Submitter is done creating accounts at the various services you hit Read Emails and then “Start”. The program will download all the emails and click the confirmation links.

Once your accounts are confirmed you’re ready to start submitting content. For blogs you can write articles with anchor text rich backlinks to your websites. For article’s, you can add a link to your site in the Author Resource section. Magic Submitter will then automatically log you into all the sites and submit your articles, all at the push of a button.
